MNIEH – Holocaust Museum
“In conjunction with architectural associates at Westfourth Architecture, engineering consultants at Thermovent, and the project management supervisors at POPP associates, the interior design team from 1722StudioLab has succeeded in transforming the Banloc-Goodrich Palace, originally designed as an office building, into a well organized, functional, and effective museum layout. Difficult structural challenges were overcome by the architects and engineers allowing for the removal of many columns, the introduction of multiple elevators as well as a core staircase, allowing to create public facilities never imagined for this building. Similarly, the team has successfully envisioned operational and aesthetic solutions which will make an important statement about this unique institution and provide for a unique and impactful visitor circulation and experience.” – Edward Jacobs, Berenbaum Jacobs Associates
